SERVICES TO COLLECTORS
Jérémie Iordanoff (b. February 2, 1983, Laxou, France) is a contemporary French abstract artist and politician based in Grenoble. His artistic practice encompasses abstract paintings, drawings, and various works on paper, including Indian ink and watercolor compositions, alongside oil paintings that form the core of his creative output.

Education and Professional background
Iordanoff has pursued a diverse academic path, studying Political Sciences at both the the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne (2011) and the University of Montpellier (2012). His earlier education includes studies in Mathematics, Computer Science and Applied Sciences at Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) in 2002, and Web and Multimedia Creation at École du premier film in Lyon (2004).
This interdisciplinary background led to a dual career path. While developing his artistic practice, Iordanoff has been politically active with Les Écologistes (The Greens) since the early 2000s. In 2024, he was elected as a vice-president of the French National Assembly, a position that has naturally affected his availability for artistic pursuits.

Technique
Working without preliminary drafts, Iordanoff's process involves the superimposition of thin layers or the juxtaposition of freehand lines. He primarily works with oil paint, valuing the medium for the time it requires—a deliberate choice that allows for what he describes as "the slow maturation of images." This patient approach to creation aligns with his philosophy that viewing art similarly demands time and contemplation.
Inspiration
As expressed in his artist statement, Iordanoff is deeply interested in the "indicible" (the unspeakable or ineffable)—those elements that escape precise formulation. He values this ambiguity as a source of freedom and breathing space in his work. His artistic philosophy embraces the physical nature of painting as an object "on which the mind stumbles," creating a tension between visual pleasure and intellectual engagement.
In his own words: "L'indicible est essentiel. Là où les choses échappent — ne serait-ce qu'en partie — à leur formulation, il y a une liberté, il y a une respiration." (The ineffable is essential. Where things escape—even partially—their formulation, there is freedom, there is breathing space.)
Representation
IdeelArt has been representing Iordanoff since 2022 and is privileged to serve as the exclusive representative for his existing body of work. Following his significant political advancement to vice-president of the French National Assembly in 2024, Iordanoff has temporarily paused the creation of new artworks. This exclusive representation arrangement allows IdeelArt to continue making his distinctive abstract paintings and works on paper available to collectors worldwide during this period of political focus, maintaining the presence of his artistic voice in the contemporary abstract art landscape.
