José Heerkens at Verein für aktuelle Kunst Ruhrgebiet

We are pleased to announce José Heerkens forthcoming exhibition at Verein für aktuelle Kunst Ruhrgebiet (Association for Contemporary Art for the Ruhr region) in Oberhausen, Germany. José Heerkens is a Dutch painter whose minimalist paintings explore the sense of movement created when colors interact and communicate with each other within a dimensional, lined space. She lives and works in Zeeland, Netherlands.

José Heerkens at Verein für aktuelle Kunst Ruhrgebiet

The exhibition is a duo with the artist Dörte Behn. The preview will be on 23 August at 11.30 am with an opening speech by Dr. Peter Lodermeyer, an art historian and author. The Association of Contemporary Art focuses on the presentation of concrete / 'neo-concrete' works in the fields of painting and sculpture. It resides in a spacious industrial heritage factory.
