Tom McGlynn 是一位美國抽象藝術家,他的作品探索互動色彩與比例,並與其潛在的符號意義形成張力。他同時也是一位獨立策展人和作家,定期為《布魯克林鐵路報》撰稿。此外,McGlynn 是 Beautiful Fields 的創始主任,該組織致力於社會參與的策展項目。他目前在紐約市的帕森斯新設計學院任教。

教育背景

1958年出生的McGlynn 從小便對繪畫產生興趣。他的天賦在家庭中受到鼓勵,最終他進入新澤西州的拉馬波學院,於1980年獲得版畫學士學位。1996年,McGlynn 從亨特學院獲得繪畫碩士學位。二十多歲時作為本科生,他受到藝術與文學的雙重影響,特別是藝術家羅伯特·史密森和詩人威廉·卡洛斯·威廉斯的作品,兩人都在新澤西州度過了他們生命中具有形成意義的重要階段,而這也是 McGlynn 成長的地方。

技法

靈感來源

收藏
