Realized in 2018, this project is a poetic continuation of their Infinite Village series, which investigates the boundaries between architecture, daily life, and metaphysical experience.
Artistic Vision & Technique
The work is centered on the distinction between "mathematical space"—the hollow, Euclidean structures we work and dwell in, and "experienced space," which is unstructured, vital, and infinite. The installation is based on a modular 3m x 3m x 3m framework, designed to be variable and expandable in all dimensions.
Rather than manifesting as a solid volume or object, the structure presents itself as a "spatial situation." Through the thoughtful integration of fabrics and humble materials, the artists create an "open structure" that suggests inhabitation and social activity. It functions as a topos, a place of departure, challenging the viewer to re-evaluate their physical and mental position within the environment.

Context & Significance
Drawing from the concept of the "bricoleur" (as defined by Claude Lévi-Strauss) and the "Hojo" (the archetype of Japanese meditative architecture), the project creates a space where the exterior becomes the interior. In the bustling context of Venice, it serves as a refuge of modesty and simplicity, prompting reflection on our personal standing within a consumerist society. By dissolving formal restrictions, Tilman and von Zezschwitz transform the architectural "skin" into a permeable medium for contemplation and dialogue.

他是義大利 Dolceacqua 的 Dolceacqua Arte Contemporanea (d.a.c.)
