京李是一位韓國抽象藝術家,她的作品通過對顏色、材料、過程和形式的多學科探索,調和了物理和情感的現實。她在韓國首爾生活和工作。

教育

李於1991年在韓國首爾的弘益大學獲得藝術學士學位。她於2000年在德國布倫瑞克的美術大學獲得碩士學位。
從2001年至2002年,她是國際知名的SSamzieSpace工作室駐留計劃的藝術家。

科技

李致力於她過程中的精確性。她仔細規劃她的顏色選擇,並為每種顏色的混合分配固定的時間。為了創作她的漸層色彩畫作,她首先在表面上以條狀鋪設膠帶。每層顏料在固定的時間內塗抹,然後再讓其靜置一段固定的時間。這是一個逐步建立、分層、累積的過程。漸層表達了顏色和時刻之間的關係。她的一些畫作中包含文字。對於這些作品,李首先將她為作品選擇的單詞壓印到表面上,然後再塗上與所選單詞相關聯並協作的單色色調。顏色佔據了這個單詞,並填滿了周圍的所有空間。對李來說,過程是詩意的,對作品的意義至關重要。

靈感

在她的作品中,李正在回應她在物理環境中的情感經歷。顏色是她主要的視覺語言。對她來說,顏色不僅是自我指涉的。顏色還與情感狀態相關。這是一種表達感受、投射思想和喚起生命自然過程的方式。李受到時間流逝和經歷層疊的啟發。她思考記憶以及她對過去的視野如何隨著時間的積累而改變。她也對自動主義感興趣。通過無意識的過程,她在不同的溝通方式之間建立了聯繫,例如在她的顏色作為形容詞系列中,將特定的詞與特定的色調聯繫起來。此外,李還關心地球在其軸心上的傾斜。地球傾斜23.5度,這一條件使我們以這種方式體驗四季。李想知道這裡是否存在我們錯誤假設自己是水平站立的情況與我們所做的其他假設之間的相關性,例如她所說的,"情感的地平線"。
