Anya Spielman是一位美国抽象画家。她的作品探讨二元力量和形态的星座,呈现反复出现的双重图像:知道与未知、被看见与未被看见、人性与非人性之间的张力。她现居并工作于洛杉矶地区。

教育

Anya Spielman曾就读于加州大学戴维斯分校,1989年获得艺术工作室专业学士学位,辅修人类学。她是Wayne Thiebaud的学生,毕业后继续接受他的指导。

技法

Spielman使用油画颜料在画布、纸张和画板上创作,尺寸多样;她同时进行多达四十幅画作的创作,随着每幅作品逐渐成形,她在它们之间切换,然后将某幅作品单独完成。她饱和的表面光彩夺目,交替呈现光泽和哑光层,但也带有粗糙的指甲划痕,这些划痕破坏并解构作品。这些刻痕和标记与图像和理念相关,常常构成作品的底层结构,是作品潜藏的语言。她使用的红色和粉色联想到肉体和血液,调色板中的浅奶油色、黄色和蓝色常让人联想到体液和生命的脉动。
