教育背景

Peerna 於2005年在紐約州立大學紐帕爾茲分校(SUNY)獲得藝術碩士學位。她於1998年完成芬蘭赫爾辛基藝術設計大學的研究員計畫,並於1995年在愛沙尼亞塔林大學取得碩士學位。

技法

在 Peerna 的工作室創作中,她利用身體的物理動作模擬自然力量,如落水、風、重力和動量。她將一張 Mylar 薄膜固定在板子上,雙手各握一把鉛筆。鉛筆尖觸碰 Mylar 薄膜後,她以單一、流暢的全身動作,將鉛筆在表面上移動,模擬瀑布或風暴潮等自然現象的運動。在這個動作中,Peerna 的身體如同釋放的水流。鉛筆成為她身體的延伸,而留在表面的圖像即是這一瞬間自然事件的即時記錄。

在工作室外,Peerna 有時會與音樂家、舞者及其他藝術家合作,在鋪展於地面或懸掛於天花板的 Mylar 薄膜上創作。她將鉛筆連接於 Mylar 表面,隨著身體移動,留下記錄她與合作夥伴互動時直覺動作的痕跡。

"我創作繪畫和裝置藝術。我的元素是線條與光;我的材料是鉛筆、羊皮紙和我的身體動作。我是個容器,收集自然中微妙且令人陶醉的過程,利用這些經驗與衝動來創作作品。我記錄霧氣轉化為水的過程。我讓風帶動我的身體,在紙上留下痕跡。我穿越千層灰色空氣,並將每一層標記下來。我的大部分作品誕生於工作室的孤獨中。有時與音樂家和舞者的公開表演會將我從安全寧靜的空間中帶出,拓展我的繪畫實踐。我對無盡的生成過程感興趣,沒有故事,沒有開始,沒有結束——只有當下流動的瞬間。"

收藏

Peerna 的作品被多個美國及歐洲私人收藏家收藏,並被巴黎國家當代藝術基金會(Fonds National d’Art Contemporain)收藏。

展覽

Peerna 的作品曾在紐約市及她的家鄉愛沙尼亞塔林舉辦多場個展,亦曾於柏林、巴黎、赫爾辛基、里斯本、杜拜、檀香山、羅馬及其他多個城市展出。
