教育

Yari Ostovanyは14歳で創作の勉強を始め、最初は現代ペルシャ詩に惹かれ、その後視覚芸術に興味を持ちました。彼は1995年にサンフランシスコ美術大学でMFAを取得し、サンフランシスコ美術大学で絵画のBFAを、ネバダ大学リノ校で美術のBAを取得しました。彼はシエラアーツ奨学金を含む多くの賞や助成金を受けており、ネバダ大学リノ校で教えた経験があります。

技術

Ostovanyが創り出す絵画は、時間と共に展開し、顔料の層が追加され、洗い流され、覆われ、削り取られ、溶解され、さらに層が追加されることで進化します。プロセスの各新しい段階で、構成はより深く、より光を放つようになります。新しい絵画はしばしば、一連の書道的なジェスチャーマークから始まります。これはOstovanyが認知的/感情的なひらめきに触発されたジェスチャーの爆発と呼ぶものです。Ostovanyはその後、マークを擦り、希釈し、以前のマークや層と融合させ、新しい色と質感の次元を引き出します。層の一時的な性質は、作品の視覚言語に埋め込まれ、動きと超越感を呼び起こします。
