Kyong Lee是一位韩国抽象艺术家,她的作品通过对色彩、材料、过程和形式的多学科探索,调和了物理和情感现实。她在韩国首尔生活和工作。

教育

Lee于1991年在韩国首尔的弘益大学获得了文学学士学位。她于2000年在德国布伦瑞克的美术大学获得了硕士学位。
从2001年到2002年,她是国际知名的SSamzieSpace工作室驻留项目的驻地艺术家,位于韩国首尔。

技术

Lee 致力于她过程中的精确性。她细致地规划她的颜色选择,并为每种颜色的混合分配固定的时间。为了创作她的渐变色画作,她首先在表面上分层粘贴胶带。每层油漆在固定的时间跨度内涂抹,并允许其再静置一段固定的时间。这是一个逐步构建、分层、积累的过程。渐变表达了颜色和时刻之间的关系。她的一些画作中包含文字。对于这些作品,Lee 首先将她为作品选择的单词压印到表面,然后涂上与所选单词相关联并协作的 单色 色调。颜色占据了这个单词,并填满了周围的所有空间。对Lee 来说,过程是诗意的,并且对作品的意义至关重要。
